The Archdeacon of Aston is a senior ecclesiastical officer within the Diocese of Birmingham. The Archdeacon is responsible for the disciplinary supervision of the clergy 〔"ABCD: a basic church dictionary" Meakin, T: Norwich, Canterbury Press, 2001 ISBN 978-1-85311-420-5〕 within the six area deaneries: Aston and Yardley, Bordesley, Coleshill, Polesworth and Solihull, Sutton Coldfield and Yardley.
